What is Super 7s?

Global operator Bet365 has confirmed plans to cut around 340 jobs in response to increased regulatory and tax-related costs.

The job cuts, which represent approximately 3% of Bet365’s workforce, will be made across the company’s offices in Stoke-on-Trent, Malta and Gibraltar.

Bet365 attributed the job cuts to a “highly competitive trading environment, plus increased regulatory and tax-related costs”.

The company currently has 10 games spanning themes such as football and cars, with content deliberately based around subjects already attracting attention on social media.

That familiarity is important. Swipe Games is not asking social-media users to learn an entirely new digital language when they arrive at a casino. Done questioned how much more of a tax burden wealthy business owners in the UK should bear, noting: “They keep saying those with the broadest shoulders should be paying more tax. Well, how broad do my shoulders have to be? We paid £400 million in taxes as a family last year.”

He expressed a personal reluctance to emigrate outside of the UK, but acknowledged that his children might seek more favourable tax regimes abroad.
